Culinary Travel in Venice: Cooking Classes in Venice area

Venice is one of Italy's most beautiful and romantic cities as well as one of the most popular for visitors to Italy. Venice is a unique city built entirely on water in the middle of a Venice's lagoon. Piazza San Marco, with its magnificent church, is the center of the city. There are many museums (Gallerie dell'Accademia, Peggy Guggeneihm Museum, Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico), palaces (Palazzo Ducale, Ca' d'Oro), and churches (Basilica di S. Marco, Chiesa della Salute, Chiesa del Redentore, Chiesa di S. Maria ai Frari)  to visit and wandering along Venice's canals is interesting.

If you are visiting Venice, try a new culinary travel experience: a hands-on cooking class with an Italian chef. Cooking holiday is one of the useful activities for traveler and foodie.

Near Venice, in Padova, a woman named Mama Isa operates a cooking class out of her home. She offers private lessons that include three or four dishes, which you choose from her own family's cookbook. This course is about € 50-150.

Mama Isa is very friendly, and knowledgeable; she has a very  accomplished, but an informal approach to the cooking. The dishes are delicious.

Mama Isa's Cooking Class is  very close to the center of Padua, near Venice (From Venice take a  train or a bus to Padova. It's a pretty short ride, about 30 minutes from Venice).

My husband and I spent one of the best afternoon of our lives at the Mama Isa cooking school two months ago. The place is very nice from beginning to end.

We were there with a guy from Brazil. A small group - plenty of time to cook, to chat and to eat. Mama Isa, our cooking teacher, showed us three fabulous recipes; it was the right mix of watching, learning, and then doing it ourself. The right amount of time -the right amount of food.

Mama Isa's home is well equipped for the class, and she had everything bought for my recipes in advance.

Really worth going to, if you enjoy cooking and want to learn a new variety of Italian food.

I have done several cooking courses on my travels and this is one of the best.

A fair and reasonable price for a cooking class in Venice area.
